30 - 31 May 2015
Have you thought about making energy efficiency improvements such as a new boiler or insulation, but had questions about the benefits or what the installation would actually involve or simply weren't sure what measures would be suitable for your home? The Norfolk Eco Open homes programme will give residents across Norwich and the surrounding area the opportunity to visit the home of another local resident who has already made low-carbon improvements to see first hand the financial savings and other advantages of installing energy saving measures and renewables as well as finding out about any considerations you may need to take into account.
Please note that this event has now finished.
The Green Open Homes programme is part of the programme of activities that Norwich City Council, Broadland District Council and South Norfolk District Council are already undertaking to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy to our residents, helping them to reduce their energy costs.
Residents interested in making improvements to reduce their energy use or generate their own energy will be able to visit a variety of 'eco open homes' on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May to speak to the people living there and find out more about their experience of installing energy saving measures and see them installed in a real home.
A range of measures will be included including those designed for solid wall properties and off-gas properties including heating systems, insulation measures (including solid wall insulation) and renewable energy systems.
Norwich City Council, Broadland Distrcit Council and South Norfolk District Council are working with Earthical Consulting on the delivery of the Norwich Green Open Homes events. For more information contact:
